Sense of self, and the way one shares it, is perhaps the most valuable and poetic gift in the arsenal of one's life and craft. In graphic design and art, Tina Chen, is  an enduring and robust giver. With an elegant slant,  and a dedicated hand, she conjures incredibly creative designs.

Her personal work and the personality of her diverse yet singular voice conjure the spirited hand of her younger days.

Tina was coming up with creative designs at 4. Her parents found her silently drawing and folding up designs so they put her in an art class in first grade and have continued to be an amazing support team. If one word could ever describe Tina, it's artistic.

She looks at the world through the eyes of  a young woman whose shoe soles walked the sands and streets of the globe - Taiwan, Canada, North Carolina, California, humming, dreaming, drawing.

Tina’s designs are shaped by her culture; a multifaceted woman influenced by a myriad of experiences. While she is 100% Taiwanese, she moved around as a kid, not just traveling through these places but actually living there long enough to absorb other cultural experiences.

In a way, she says, she is a "cultural mutt."

“Looking back, I feel very blessed. I got to see so many places and meet very different kinds of people.”

This makes her accepting of different perspectives.

Not only does Tina live and breathe art, she brings her caring and dedicated nature to her work. She listens carefully then comes up with these powerfully captivating designs. Whether in a book cover or newsletter, web graphic or print design, you always get a sense of grace, commitment and passion.
